Dear Potential Chamber Member:
We would like you to consider becoming a member of the Ballard County Chamber of Commerce. This is a great opportunity to promote your business and get involved in the community! Also, we have many individuals who have joined who do not own a business, because they want to be involved in the community.
Also, by joining the Chamber, you will receive a lot of FREE advertising. New memberships are published in the Advance Yeoman and Ballard Weekly and will be listed on the Chamber website. Any or all of your personnel may attend any Chamber function, receive weekly emails of up coming activities and events throughout the County and area, and also receive the monthly Chamber Newsletter.
Our monthly Chamber Buffet Breakfasts are at the "Bluegrass Restaurant" in LaCenter, KY in the banquet room on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:30AM. Our guest speakers vary from Chamber members, civic leaders, school personnel, businesses, to government officials. We welcome anyone at your facility to attend all of our monthly Chamber Breakfasts, cost for breakfast buffet is $7, includes tax/tip.
The Chamber not only promotes ALL Chamber Members, we also have a Tourism Center which helps to promote growth and development in Ballard County. In 2007 you will see a significant increase in the number of people coming to Ballard County for our various events such as Doo Wop Days, LaCenter Day, Barlow Days, Wickliffe/Ballard County Harvest Festival, and other events and activities. Ballard County has a lot of wonderful qualities and many things to offer Tourists. We now have a website www.ballardchamber.org, which I am in the process of entering all Chamber Members and their information...this will take me a few months to have it up to date. But, also all of the community events are listed on this site and every Thursday are emailed to all Chamber Members (325 plus) of the upcoming events for the month!
We now have 60 to 80 attend the monthly breakfasts…in December we will always have 120 attend the monthly breakfast hosted at NewPage Corporation. Our members are Ballard County, McCracken County, Graves County, Carlisle County, Missouri, and Illinois with 225 current members.
I receive emails on a daily basis with businesses and people volunteering to be on committees for our events, so there has been a difference going on in 2006 and will continue in 2007!
It may take us some time….but we can GROW! We have a great new school to draw more people to Ballard. I've been receiving several calls regarding housing, etc. from families that are moving to Ballard because of the new schools.
